At Marina Bay Academy, we are committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to explore their individuality while developing essential social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.
Our approach to early childhood education is holistic and child-centered, recognizing that each child is unique and thrives with personalized support. We believe play is fundamental to learning and development. Through both free play and guided activities, children build critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and social skills — laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Our program blends the freedom of play with the structure of Montessori principles. Each day includes two hours of Montessori time, where children engage in hands-on, self-directed learning with thoughtfully designed materials. Guided by trained educators, children develop independence, focus, and a genuine love of discovery.
We provide ample opportunities for unstructured free play, where children are free to choose their activities, express themselves, interact with peers, and follow their natural curiosities. This play-based approach nurtures creativity, resilience, and interpersonal growth.
In addition to structured learning, we use an emergent curriculum—a responsive teaching method built around children’s interests, questions, and discoveries. By integrating their passions into daily activities, we promote meaningful, engaging learning experiences that foster curiosity and a sense of ownership.
